Die "Kurpark Classix" spannen den Bogen traditionsgemäß sehr weit – bei insgesamt zehn Konzerten aller Stilrichtungen geht es von Klassik und Filmmusik über Rock, Pop, Hiphop und Soul bis hin zu Elektro-Pop. Für jeden Musikgeschmack sollte in den nächsten zwei Wochen also etwas dabei sein.
Das Sinfonieorchester selbst tritt gleich bei mehreren Konzerten an, einmal gemeinsam mit der Singer-Songwriterin Katie Melua, aber auch mit einem Filmmusikkonzert und einem Konzert für Kinder. Zunächst steht aber am 29. August die traditionelle "Night at the Opera" an, bei der in diesem Jahr allerdings keine Opernarien zu hören sind, sondern "The Liverpool Oratorio", ein Oratorium, das Ex-Beatle Paul McCartney 1991 komponiert hat.
Für dieses überaus besondere Konzert am 29. August gibt es in der aktuellen Klassikzeit insgesamt 5x2 Freikarten zu gewinnen. Im Lauf der Sendung wird eine Rätselfrage gestellt, deren Antwort ihr per Mail an gewinnspiel@brf.be schicken sollt. Einsendeschluss ist Montag, der 25. August, um zehn Uhr. Unter den Einsendungen mit der richtigen Antwort werden dann die Tickets ausgelost.
