"Everything Else Has Gone Wrong" war der letzte Song, der für das fünfte Bombay Bicycle Club-Album geschrieben wurde und es ergibt vollkommen Sinn, dass er der Platte seinen Namen gibt. So wie das Album handelt auch der Song von Hoffnung und Wiederherstellung, davon, Sicherheit in Geborgenheit zu finden, in dem, was man am meisten liebt, während alles um dich herum langsam zerbricht. Die erste Singleauskopplung des Albums "Eat, Sleep, Wake (Nothing But You)" war die Quintessenz von Bombay Bicycle Club, eine selbstbewusste, sichere Rückkehr. Das Gefühl von Wiederbelebung, eine wiedergefundene Sinnhaftigkeit ist überall auf Everything Else Has Gone Wrong zu spüren.
